Esky COAX helicopters

Esky are of course a major player in the low end COAX RC helicopter market, and to be honest, many of the COAX products are simply not acceptable for anyone trying to learn to fly, or even to play with.

Listing the problems in no particular order, they are :-

Flimsy canopy/bodies

The major issue with these is that they are clearly so cheaply produced that they have no strength whatsoever, and crack and break extremely easily.  Seeing that these helicopters are supposed to be able to be crashed endlessly, these parts are totally unsuitable.

Flybar mounting system (KOB and Llama and Co-Comanche)

The plastic flybar mounting bracket at the top of the inner mainshaft is a crazy piece of design.  There is only one link to the blade hub, but worse than that, the flybar can jump out of the holder so easily that it does so almost every time you have even the smallest crash with them.  The upgraded unit has a cap over it to stop this, so why doesn't the plastic version also have this.

Blades

Again, Esky know that these are going to be crashed into furniture and other hard objects, and yet the provide them with soft plastic blades that very soon crack and splinter, especially at the tips.  Esky do provide CF blades, so why don't they provide them with the initial kit. Many people will junk them when this happens as they have no idea what to do.

Other parts

One good example of crazy design is the front undercarriage legs on the Co-Comanche, which breaks very easily, and is only held on by one of the two arms on each side. Any small drop onto a hard surface is enought to break these, and you simply cannot fly it with them off.

IT IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR ANY MAJOR MANUFACTURER TO USE IMPORTANT ITEMS THAT ARE SO UNRELIABLE and POORLY DESIGNED for the task they need to perform.
