TowerPro
Servos
The
major complaint about TowerPro seems to be the SG90 range of servos sold
for use in small to medium helicopters.
The
major problems reported with these servos are total failures with the
motors in them, after a far too short period of time in operation, and
the connecting lead which is of very much thinner & more fragile wire than other
similar servos,
which can result in the connections breaking far too easily at both ends.
To
be fair, there may be third party clone manufacturers in China &
elsewhere in the Far East producing lookalikes of these servos, and this
may be one possible cause of bad feedback on these products.
It
may also be that some unscrupulous suppliers are passing these off as
the original product, either knowingly or unknowingly.
If
anyone knows anything more about these clones, please let us know ?
ALL
such failures other than the Lipo Charger are very liable to cause the helicopter
to crash, and quite possibly result in serious damage to the helicopter.
The
other effect is of course the risk of the helicopter colliding with
yourself, other people, animals, or even traffic driving down a road.
