    Sonix 30A ESC

Many pilots in the various helicopter forums use this Electronic Speed controller (ESC) and rate it highly. It is also priced pretty competitively.

They appear to be highly reliable with very few reported failures.  Sonix also produce other size ESC's, and it is believed that both HobbyKing and other ESC's are just rebadged Sonix's.  A programming card is also available for all of these to make setup very straigfhtforward.

One of the nice things with this ESC is that it comes with a separate BEC, and so can be used safely with digital servos.
