The main gear

We are now going to assemble the main gears.

On the left is what is in the main gear bag.
Insert the metal tube into the LOWER gear, short end first. It should click into position.
Now push the top (main) gear over the metal tube from the top.  Take care to put it on the correct way up as shown in the picture on the left.

You will see that the one way bearing protrudes DOWNWARDS .

          
The remaining spacer ring will be fitted on top of the main gear when you fit it into the main frames, so place the main gear assembly together with the "Jesus nut & bolt" and this spacer somewhere carefully.
