This helicopter is great for learning to fly, but is also exceptionally capable as a 3D aerobatic helicopter for later on, it just depends on how you set it up. This really is the Best of Both Worlds - for the really low cost of this single helicopter.

NB - Basic prices do NOT include any radio equipment, which allows you to choose the best radio to suit your needs and pocket. Equally, because the Interceptor uses mCCPM rather than eCCPM (mechanical rather than electronic mixing), you do not need to pay for a really a fancy radio to fly it.

IMPORTANT You may think that my prices are significantly higher than the costs advertised elsewhere This is the reason :- NB - The basic INT400 kits and combo kits shown below require full assembly by you. The "Assembled" kits are not even close to ARTF - They still leave you to fit the head assembly,  main gear assembly, boom and tail drive assembly, cut out and finish the canopy, and assemble  and fit the skids. Even in the case of basic kit or the Combos, you still have to mount the motor and ESC, fit the  servos and of course radio.

INTERCEPTOR 400 HELICOPTER kits with Alien Command 

Alien Command is a well established Auto Stabilisation system that has been around for several years now and is very well proven.

Basically, Once setup, it will recover your helicopter to a level hover if you just let the cyclic stick go for more than a fraction of a second. This makes hovering a doddle, as all you need to do is handle the throttle and tail.

Equally, If you get into trouble (& don't we all sometime), just let go of the cyclic stick and let Alien Command recover your helicopter to a level hover, from where  you can take control back and land it safely.

Let's be honest, it will pay for itself with the savings from not having to repair just one major crash, and you are able to fly more often, and in windier conditions that you might be able to fly otherwise.

There are two versions of the Alien Command auto pilot system, and you need to understand which one you need for your helicopter.

If your helicopter has a 90 degree swash plate system, you can use the STANDARD VERSION.  eg: Interceptor 400 and others that have a mechanical swash plate mixing system.

If your helicopter has a 120 degree swash plate system, you MUST use the ADVANCED VERSION.  eg: Esky Belt CP and others that have electronic CCPM swash plate mixing system.

All of the following services are available for any type of helicopter, so it does not matter if you have an Esky Belt CP, an Interceptor 400, Trex 250, 450 etc, or CopterX or other Trex clone.

I am not limited to handling electric helicopters either, I am fully equipped to handle nitro helicopters, with my own 12v battery, starter motor, glow plug heater, nitro fuel etc.

I can handle helicopters up to .91(nitro) and 700 (electric) including helicopters in scale fuselages.

Many people want to be able to build, rebuild or modify their helicopters, but do not have a clue how to do so.   This is quite understandable.

My full day classes let you bring your OWN helicopter to me, and I will repair it and/or go through a full mechanical setup with you alongside me.  You can of course ask me any questions you want, and I will also set up your computer radio if needed for an additional £15.

The final part of the day usually results in a test flight session of your helicopter. (Weather allowing of course)

Many new pilots simply do not have a clue how to do this, which is quite understandable as it is not an easy thing to master by yourself.

However, my full day hovering classes let you bring your OWN helicopter to me, and I will first of all go through a full mechanical setup with you alongside me.  You can of course ask me any questions you want.

The first part of the day will be setting YOUR helicopter up correctly so it will fly as well as possible, the second part means we go off to the most suitable of my flying areas and then you get to do virtually ALL of the flying of your helicopter. (Weather permitting)

By the end of the day most students should be able to hover their helicopter under good control for at least 30 seconds at a time, often longer. If all goes well, we will also cover hovering with the IDLE UP switch ON. You will also know how to take off and land under full control, and how to get it back on the ground reasonably safely, even if it is all going horribly wrong for you.

Above is a picture of "RedBird" - one of my flying School helicopters.

These are specially prepared Interceptor 400's (very similar to the Belt CP and Blade 400), and have Alien Command stabilisation systems fitted to them as well to improve your flying skill quickly.

This is similar in ALMOST every way to the offer above to learn hovering using YOUR OWN helicopter.

The REAL DIFFERENCE is that 
YOU WILL FLY MY OWN SPECIALLY SETUP training helicopters.  

I use both specially strengthened Interceptor 400's with larger skids etc and also Belt CP's that can have DUAL CONTROL available if required.

The Interceptor 400 HELICOPTERS that you will use HAVE ALIEN COMMAND FITTED.  This means it is even easier to get a feel for actually hovering a helicopter, as Alien command will help you to keep the hover nice and level, letting you get a really good feel for what it is like to command the helicopter and make it do what YOU WANT AND TELL IT TO
