Hi there, and welcome to the wonderful world of Radio Controlled helicopter flying.

This page is especially aimed at those of you who have just become the proud owner of a Collective pitch helicopter, and you are probably trying, or hoping to try to learn to fly it.  The most common helicopter this applies to is the E-sky Belt CP, but many other types of helicopters are equally eligible for the offers in this Section of my Helicopter Web Site.

Firstly, learning to hover a helicopter is very difficult at first, we all know that, and it can really be exasperating.  The main reason for this is that most so called RTF (Ready To Fly) are A) Not ready to fly out of the box, and B) The way they are set up makes them far to "twitchy" for most beginners to be able to master hovering without endless crashes.

So, here are some FREE and some low cost offers to help you get going in this very enjoyable and satisfying hobby ...

OFFER 1:  Full heli setup and then hovering lessons for the rest of a day

Pay a visit to uptown Blackpool here in beautiful Lancashire. Bring your helicopter, radio and as many lipos as you have, and spend a day with me learning to hover/fly your own helicopter.

As a part of that day I will first of all go through your helicopter in my "hanger" to check that it is setup correctly.  If you wish, I can include the mechanical softening down that is part of OFFER 2 below for a small additional charge of only £10.00.

Then we will go off to a suitable flying site, and I will first of all test fly your helicopter to prove it is flying correctly before handing the transmitter (Tx) over to you.

I will then spend as long as we can getting YOU to fly your helicopter.  Weather permitting we should be able to fly about 4 lipos worth, which I can assure you will be quite enough to have your head spinning and your fingers trembling, either with fear or with excitement, or both !

My experience is that YOU should be able to perform a stable and controlled hover for at least 30 seconds at a time by the end of the day.

The cost for the day of 1on1 Flying training is only £65.00
This includes a sandwich lunch and tea/coffee as required.

To find out more, or to book yourself & your helicopter in for OFFER 1 - just drop me an email

OFFER 2: - Check over & full mechanical setup

Send your helicopter to me, and I will change the servo arms on your helicopter to those that allow mechanical adjustments to be made to the throw of the servos. I will reset those connections to "soften" it down to make it less "twitchy" and FAR EASIER TO HOVER and FLY.

I will also do a full check and perform a full mechanical setup to ensure the helicopter is setup correctly, which MOST ARE NOT.

I will then TEST FLY your helicopter to ensure that it is flying exactly as it should, and that it is genuinely ready for you to take out of the box on it's return and try to fly it.

All this for ONLY £25 + return p&p

If you happen to have a computer based radio such as Spektrum or Futaba etc, I will go through that and set it up to optimise the flight characteristics to match your level of flying for a further £20

To find out more, or to book your helicopter in for OFFER 2 - just drop me an email

OFFER 3: - Repair your helicopter for you

If, as is wholly possible, you have already crashed your helicopter, and don't know where to start to repair it, you can send your helicopter to me, and I will repair it for you.  This means that I will go right the helicopter checking all areas that may have encountered damage to ensure that nothing is left out, and ensuring that once finished, the helicopter will back to it's original condition (or even better than that)

THIS IS A TOTALLY FREE SERVICE, you only pay for parts & P&P

I always recommend that a full mechanical setup (See Offer 1above)
is done once the heli has been repaired, I charge £20 to do this.

so ALL of this for a measly £20 + costs of parts as required + return p&p
or just P&P if you just want the heli repairing.
NB( I cannot test fly a heli unless I do the setup for obvious reasons.)

To find out more, or to book your helicopter in for OFFER 3 - just drop me an email

OFFER 4: 1on1 helicopter setup day

If you would like to learn how to setup your helicopter correctly, which is one of the most important things you need to know how to do, why not pay a visit to uptown Blackpool here in beautiful Lancashire. Bring your helicopter, radio and a lipo, and spend a day with me in my "hanger" learning exactly how to setup your helicopter to fly as well as it is possibly can

The cost for the day of 1on1 helicopter setup is only £45.00
This includes a sandwich lunch and tea coffee as required.

To find out more, or to book yourself & your helicopter in for OFFER 4 - just drop me an email

OFFER 5: - 1on1 flying lessons using the Pheonix simulator

If you have the Phoenix flying simulator (and preferably Skype - for voice communication), why not let me give you up to an hour teaching you how to fly a helicopter from the comfort of your own computer room.

I already have a specific helicopter that has settings to make it ideal for learning. Full details can be found elsewhere on those.

I will publish a public session under the multiplayer area of Phoenix, and you can then join to me for a direct 1on1 session to go through whatever you are having trouble with.

THIS IS A TOTALLY FREE SERVICE

To find out more, or to book your Phoenix training session - just drop me an email

All work done on your helicopter is done by me personally, as it the test flying, so you can rest assured that it is in good hands. To find out more about me, you can check out my bio page here on the site, or look at comments made about my by other pilots, or you can visit the Heliguy Belt CP forum and see what I do there to help new pilots such as yourself.

The charges I make are so small because I don't try to make a profit from this work, it all goes towards maintaining this web site and the ever growing bandwidth costs to let others benefit by what the site contains.

I really do look forward to helping you out in the near future.

With my help and a correctly setup helicopter
YOU WILL BE ABLE TO LEARN TO FLY YOUR HELICOPTER ...
