Work has continued on the mechanics for the AirWolf, as the plan is to build it as a standard Pod & Boom (P&B) first off, then test fly it ensure it is set up correctly, and then strip of the tail stuff, and the skids of course, so we can start to fit it into the fuselage itself.

Here are a few images of the Interceptor 400 mechanics with the electronics now mounted where they need to be to fit it into the fuselage. Note that the AR6200 Rx is mounted right up top at the front so that we will have easy access to it once in the fuselage.  I am not sure yet whether the gyro will be able to stay on top behind the mainmast until I try to fit it all in.

Here we have a side view including the good old Spektrum DX6i Radio Tx.

And finally some detail of the mechanics and electronics installation from the other side.

Just in case you are wondering what the luggage label is doing tied to the strut, don't worry, I don't send them back to you just like that with a tie on label    I always label each and every helicopter that comes into my hanger with the owners details, what work is required, what radio is in use etc etc, to ensure that they cannot get mixed up, which is easy to do when I quite typically have 4 or 5 client machines in the hanger at any one time.

Once the mechanics go into the fuselage, the battery tray at the front will almost certainly be removed as well to allow us maximum room ahead of the frame to mount the RapidCharge 2200 35C lipos I plan to use in this aircraft, so we have lots of power to supply the Align 430XL motor that will be fitted once it arrives.

I plan to mount the two Alien Command electronics modules today, but of course I cannot mount the sensor on the horizontal tail surface as a permanent fixture as it will be under the belly when it's all in the fuselage.
